I am so new to all of this I feel so so - well I sure some of you know- I
just got a computer ( my first one)Dell Windows Vista and I have been trying
all weekend to set up my e-mail - I called my carrier ( comcast) and beleive
it or not I chated with at least 7 different people and got 7 different
responses - I was able to send e-mails at one point but not receive- so of
course I called my carrier and they had me do something else - now I can't
do anything - it keeps asking me for my user name and password !!! I am so
frustrated and confused at this point. I even asked my IT person and she
told me she is not familer with the program so she was no help - should I
just give up and call Comcast and have them send in a Tech? Can anyone help
me?

Dazed and confused

Here's yet another set of instructions from Comcast:

<http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?faq=Emailtop17686&cookieattempt=1>

Since they wrote them down, you might believe them more. They don't
seem to have written instructions for Windows Mail, so use these
instructions for Outlook Express, but under Windows Mail instead.
I wouldn't recommend the One Click Fix - it's too likely to be specific
for Outlook Express.
