Help with "Internet Optimizer"

Every time I open IE (version 6.0.2800.1106) I go to "Internet
Optimizer". I have gone to Tools/Internet Options etc. and changed
the default. It doesn't seem to stick. Also I can't get to see a
whole bunch of sistes, it won't let me in. How can I get rid of that
"Internet Optimizer" guy on my comptuter. Thanks for you help.

The best spyware removal tools are Ad-Aware available from
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ or
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and SpyBot available from
http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/ and update their reference files
through their Online update function. Run them individually and select all
items and remove.
You may have to reboot and rerun a couple of times to completely remove it.
Also run the Immunize function to
prevent these nasties from installing again.

Install a good HOSTS file.
Blocking Ads with a Hosts File and AdShield. Under the Security Tab download
the hosts.zip file.

Try SpybotSD - Search & Destroy by PepiMK Software:

update the software and run it to remove this pest. Please post back if
