I built my PC using a MSI K9N Neo motherboard, NVidia nForce 550 chipset and
AMD Athlon Dual Core 4200 processor, with 2gb RAM. The motherboard has a
built in sound chips (uses Realtek Audio Mgr ) but as the quality was so-so,
I installed a Creative Audigy Value card which has 4 ports.
Then I went to Windows XP's Control Panel's Sound & Audio Devices and set
the Default Device to Creative Audigy and rebooted.
But when I plugged my Altec Lansing ACS495 speakers jack (Green) into the
Creative 's Audigy's Line Out port (Green), I get no sound from the
speakers.
Grateful if you can advise how I can make Win XP redirect the audio output
to the Creative Sound card instead of keeping it for the motherboard's
sound chips.
Many thks
