HELP: Upgrade to XPPro from 98SE

Well today I finally got up the nerve and time to Upgrade
my system. Removed all that the Compatability utility
complained about. And once the "Preparing Installation"
step finished, my system rebooted and the Installation
would not proceed. It would just keep rebooting. So I
cancelled my installation and I am now back at 98. Has
anyone have a clue what is going on, and if I have any
hope to upgrade???

Were there any hardware issues listed by the Upgarde Advisor?

I had similar problem because I had my LCD monitor connected to the video
card's digital output. When I switched the monitor to the video card's
analog connector things worked just fine.

Then I installed the drivers for the monitor and switched it back to the
digital connector. Everything worked.

Well there are two my printer, which I have since
uninstalled, and my Webcam (Kensington VideoCam SVGA),
which I knew was only compatible with Win98, so I removed
it before I even tried to Upgrade. The only problem is
the Advisor is still picking up the WebCam, and I don't
know why or where it is being picked up. I am including
the snippit of the upgrade.txt, shows the hardware issues,
maybe you can help.

Here is the snippit::::

Please note that some of the following entries might be
software that
is registered as hardware.

Imaging Device
Kensington VideoCAM SVGA (not currently present)

Scanners or Digital Cameras That Might Not Work

Setup did not recognize the following scanners or digital
cameras.
Before upgrading, check the packaging that came with each
device to
see if it supports Windows XP, or contact the device
manufacturer.
Reinstall each device when Setup is complete, using the
software that
came with the device.

Kensington VideoCAM SVGA

::::Ends here!
I have no idea what the entry above the camera is, another
scary development.

Thanks for your help.
