Help to Move OE6 messagess to Windows Mail

I'm setting up a new machine with Windows Mail (vista).
From my old machine (XP with OE6) I followed the following steps to
copy/transfer/whatever:
Tools/ Options/Maintenance/Store Folder. Then I copied the identity path
into a desktop folder which I was told to call "Email". I was to click the
change button and select my new email folder/press okay and all files were
exported dto my new folder. After doing this, I copied the folder to a Flash
Drive.

On the Flash drive I can see .dbx files but my new Windows Mail program does
not see them or know what to do with them.

thank you.

Thanks John, but that is what I've done. I'm really pretty clueless. On way
back to old machine after I do a little more searching.
