Help & Sup does't work after inst of Int Expl SP 1

My Help and Support function in Windows XP does not work
properly after installing Internet Explorer 6 Service
Pack 1. For instance, klicking on Index results in an
empty index list.
When I deinstall SP1 it works OK again.

Have you tried installing WinXP-SP1 (which includes IE6-SP1) and other
needed updates via Windows Update?

Yes, I have installed all recommended updates via Windows
update.
I am using the swedish version of WinXP (which I forgot
to mention earlier). This problem maybe only exists in
the swedish version of WinXP and IE?

I would doubt that the various language versions of XP differ substantially,
other than in language. Have you tried any of the fixes from Kelly' Korner?

Try this: Uninstall IE6-SP1 via Add/Remove Programs (anti-virus application
disabled and all other running processes closed.

Reboot.

Now check in IE Tools>Internet Options>General>Language and move Swedish to
the top of the list, and then delete all Microsoft cookies from your Cookies
folder.

Again with your anti-virus application disabled and all other running
processes closed the entire time, now go to Windows Update and install the
Swedish version of WinXP-SP1(a), not IE6-SP1(a). WinXP-SP1(a) includes
IE6-SP1 as well as other important files for your Operating System.[/QUOTE]

You are right, the language version is not the problem. A
friend of mine has the same problem on a computer with
the English version of Windows XP installed.
