help,msn explorer and msn messenger will not sign in!

please can some one help.both msn internet explorer and msn messenger will not sign in at all.when I try to sign in it attemps 5 times then it comes up with a message saying there may be a problem with msn sevice or my internet connection .But all my other internet things are working fine i.e yahoo and windows XP internet explorer.I am using ntl always connected broadband.please can someone help me ASAP,[email protected]
