help me please...

Hey everyone! please help me out here.

I have a good computer with a good sound card. Now first
off all my speakers are connected to the subwoofer. Now a
little while back my sound went bye-bye and so I flicked
the switch on my subwoofer from Stereo to Gaming. And all
was fine. But now I lost my sound again! And it was right
after I just did a system restore!

I took my installation CD and reinstalled/repaired
everything but i still got nothing :|

Someone help me please. There has to be a reason for this
and im not going to buy another $150 sound card just to
fix it.

Youre best bet is to go to device mgr.,uninstall the
card,reboot,usually xp will reload auto.,if not forget
the cd,try windows update let it install the drivers.
Uninstall software in add/remove first.
