Help Login Problem

When I try to login my computer wont let me type my password. It is like my
keyboard isnt working. There are times when I can log on. Can some one please
tell me what may be causeing this?

PS2 Keyboard or USB keyboard?

Sometimes, the PS2 connector becomes unplugged so slightly (someone tugged
at the cord), it needs to be pushed back in.

Please specify which kind of connection you have from your keyboard to your
computer, so we can think of something to help you.
