Pop out a cd, put in a new one. W2k thinks nothing has
happend, it wont refresh no matter what you do. I found
that if I eject and insert a few times it finally shows
the contents. I can also go to properties on the cd
drive, and toggle the check box "Enable digital CD audio
for this CD-ROM device", hit ok, but say NO to the reboot
computer dialog, and it refreshes the drive. (I figure
because a setting has been changed on the driver, when
you hit ok, it tells windows to do a refresh, which means
you'll then see what's on the cd you put in the drive.)
I know it's not my drive because I took the 2 yr old
drive out and put in a new DVD+R burner and it does the
exact same thing! sigh. I can even burn a data cd, it
auto ejects, I pop it back in, and w2k shows the files
from the PREVIOUS cd! Bummer.
Help!! Please!
