HELP AND SUPPORT CENTRE

I have Win XP Home Edition and seem to have lost the Help and Support access.
I fear I may have been overzealous in cleaning up files as I think I may have
deleted a critical file associated with launching the H&S Centre function. To
recover it and restore to the Control Panel and START menu - could it work if
I reinstalled a new Windows XP O/S over the system I am using now. (I believe
my HD is partitioned) I have an ACER model with all the bells and whistles.
Everything else works fine on my current O/S just the Help and Support centre
function has gone. I keep getting the error message - 'Windows cannot find
Helpctr.exe' Any thoughts on this? I would appreciate it.
