Help and support centre

I have Windows XP installed on my Laptop. When I start
Windows Explorer, Many instances of Help and support
centre open and slow down the machine. When I look at the
running processes in the Task manager it shows more than
100 instances of HelpCtr.exe running. Does anyone know
about this problem?
