Having connection, but no logon

Can anyone please help me with this problem.

I am trying to connect to a computer remoteley. I am using
a different port for security reasons. When I try at work
to connect to this PC I can log in en go to work on that
pc. When I try to connect from another PC on another
location my screen goes big just as if its connected with
the ip address and port number showing.....and....no logon
screen. If i wait long anouth I get the connection failed.
I have taken the PC to the place where i can work with it,
and....yes, I can work on that PC.
The PC is not the isue and it seems that the connection is
also ok because i have tried taking over another PC on the
remote network and it works great.

I cannot think of anything anymore to make it work. Does
anyone have advise for me?

Is the remote PC behind a firewall/NAT/router? If so is the new port being forwarded through the
firewall/NAT/router to the target PC?

I have configured the port so that I can connect to the
PC. I have tried it from a different place and no
problems. Even tried it from severall places, but no
problem. It is only from that specific place. The only
thing I can emagine is the use of the router there
blocking outgoing requests or incomming responces? But I
don't think that that is the problem, because it works
when I try to logonto another PC there.

Right.. If you have access from other sources, but one location
doesn't work, I would tend to believe that there is a firewall or name
resolution problems... To check for name resolution problems at this
location, try connecting using the IP address...

Also, keep in mind some PC's can have more restrictions on network
access than others - for instance, I have shutdown all ports other
than web and email at the office on certain people's machines (who
don't have a business need to use these services) during office hours.
Thus, I could use this type of access while a computer next to me may
not...

I am sorry,

I am going to explain the situation to you:

I have three locations.
Location A:
Multiple PCs (more than two) in a LAN network. On two
machines remote desktop is working. PC1 uses port 3399 and
PC2 is using 3395. On one of those two the firewall is
installed (yes software firewall connecting the the port
to the other PC)
Location B:
My home pc working with XP home. Also a sofware firewall.
Location C:
Multiple PC's in a network working behind a firewall.

I can connect from Location C to Location A to both the
PC's and I can work on both of them.

I can take the PC from location B to location C and make a
connection to the network and to both the PC's on location
A

I can not connect to PC1 on location A but I can make a
connection to PC2 running the firewall without anny
problem at all.

I have tried to disable NAT on the firewall (opening the
complete toco) and still the same reaction.

I hope you have an idear of what the situation is?
