my Hp Pavilion 7966 came with XP Home pre-installed. When my fax machine died recently I tried to add the windows component Fax Services. During the automatic configuration Windows asks for fxsext.ecf and asks for the XP Home setup disk that didn't come with the computer. I haven't been able to locate the driver - or any others of type ***.ecf on any of the windows support sites? Fun Huh

Only your OEM can provide the necessary setup files. You'll have to ask HP.

This file is not a driver file. Fax Setup places it in %windir%\addins. You
might try looking for it there. This file is connected with the exchange
support for faxing i.e integration of faxing with Outlook.
