Does anyone know why my hard drives might be constantly
running in Win XP? Is there a way to stop the hard drive
from being accessed all the time? Even when I'm not
doing anything, the hard drive light coms on.

Thanks for any help in this matter.

If everything "Ernie" mentioned comes up negative, then it is simply
XP is doing maintenance on your harddrive in the background - as it
was designed to do - indexing/reindexing, defragging, etc.
