Hangs at XP Splash Screen

Hello

I have Windows XP home editions and when I boot my machine it gets to the blue Windows XP splash screen and hangs there. It does the same in safe mode and safe mode with command prompt, as well as last known good configuration. Any ideas or help

Neil

Boot using your XP disk, and try to do a repair install. I have had that
problem a few times. It comes (to my best guess) from a driver that becomes
corrupt.
