do you have a system restore point ?, look under add/remove programs in the cotrol panel, the updates may be listed there, if you run the installer again does it give the option to remove ?

I'm not 100% that Half Life 2 supports the MX440 cards, if they do they it will only work with these drivers: Forceware 56.64

But as i said, i dont think half life 2 supports that card.

Well the detail must be turned down so much it would detract from the gameplay 100% so it wouldn't be worth playing....I don't know why it would be worth bothering trying to find a solution to this problem....

If you played this game with a decent card it would be like opening your eyes for the first time...

what the heck is that supposed to mean

I think what he's trying to say is that, sadly, your current grafix card don't cut the mustard for playing Half Life 2 :(

If you want to play this game, you gonna have to invest in a new video card.

Consider starting points to be ATI 9800 Pro and Nvidia FX5900.

Good luck.

HL2 is coming to xbox september 2005.
of course it can only handle the lowest settings apparently, even then there is some stuttering when nothings happening. why rob yourself of the experience? grab a PC copy instead.

if you buy a code its probably gonna be the same cost as a new game, so you might aswell get a new copy
