greyed out options in program toolbar

When right clicking program on task bar, a window appears with the options;
restore
move
size
minimize
maximize
close
on one program, all options are greyed out except move &
size.....so if i have two or more programs open and right click on another
window, the program i am referring to, will not minimize....
Any fixes for this???? The program is Scanwizard 5 standard control panel
for Microtek scanner
if i have several programs running, i can right click on any one (in the
task bar) and can minimize it
they all have the options mentioned above....except the scanwizard...it has
been that way for some time but started working yesterday but when i
rebooted, the options were greyed out again....any syggestions would be
greatly appreciated....thanks

Hi,
You're right about ScanWizard5. I hadn't noticed that before. Two freeware
programs you might try:
Doughnut from http://www.ameringue.freeserve.co.uk/ Makes a window disappear
except for the Title Bar. Ever use WindowShade on a Mac? It works like
WindowShade.

PowerMenu from http://www.veridicus.com/tummy/programming/powermenu/#top
minimizes windows to the tray (Systray) and has several other features. It
could not minimize the Settings window when I had ScanWizard open.

I don't know why minimize and maximize seem to have worked for you a time or
two.
