gif pictures

gif pictures don't display in any of my browsers. I've double checked my
browser settings and even disabled my firewall. There doesn't appear to be
any "gif" in my resitry.

Using classic control panel view: Start>Control panel>Folder options>File
types>Select "gif" file extension - bottom dialog box will indicate what
program, if any, is to open gif images. Change program by selecting
"Change" option - use "advanced" option to set default action if necessary.
