gettting error" TRAY 1 LOAD PLAIN A3"

I have hp 2500c professional series printer, which is directly connected to my pc, running on win xp. It works fine when I try to print on A4 but I cannot print on A3. whenever I try for it, it gives a message on printer's menu screen. "TRAY 1 LOAD PLAIN A3". I tried to reinstall printer. but same problem. & also tried by connecting the printer to other PC running on xp. but got the same message. I can print the printer self test for A3. so I think, there mgiht b some problem with win xp inbuilt drivers.

Plz suggest me how I can troubleshoot this problem.
