As i'm not a real gamer so i can't really help, i mostly only play demos off the front of pc mags:D Do have ToCA Race Driver 2 & am thinking off buying the newer 3 version, but i'm crap, i never get passed the first few levels, did think of getting a decent shoot'em up flight sim though.

What games do you play?

They are all class games, I got CoD 1+2 and United Offencive, HalfLife 2 and Doom3. All very good. :thumb:

Farcry is worth a look, can get it cheap now i think. :)

EDIT: F.E.A.R is a must have!! :D

Source is the new technology that steam and Valve have made and basically it utilizes the laws of physics etc, as it would be in pretty much real life. for example they first used it in half life 2 and then went on to make the excellent counter strike: source game (which i highly reccommend as a good fps to play).

other good fps's to test out your new rig are fear, cod 1+2 (2 especially since that is graphically demanding) operation flashpoint is a classic, but a new more modern version is being released soon, and Ut 2004, if your looking for real online fragging ;)

I've had and completed them all, and the best out the lot in my opinion is Far Cry, still graphically better than all of them I reckon. The AI is pretty good, guns are great and the level design is way ahead of them all.

Its the only non-linear one out of the lot.

You have to go on set paths on all 3 of the others (which isnt a bad thing) but on far cry you can take many many different ways. Full of depth and badies ;).

P.S: F.E.A.R. is 2nd in me books :)

I don't think he is, he's right about Far Cry having great graphics.

It's not totally non-linear, but you sure as hell get a lot of choices to go about getting through a level. I still go back and play levels of Far Cry just for the sheer fun of it.

Probably as good as BF2 but far less demanding of your system.

Techy: Good choice of games, you'll enjoy that lot.

I still haven't tried F.E.A.R. I've read mixed comments about it. Is it really that good? If so, I'll buy it, I've seen it for £20.00 in Game, anybody know anywhere cheaper?

Thanks Ian :)

For that price I may well have me some. In fact, I think I will.

Two more fps's worth considering are Doom 3 + expansion pack and Quake 4.

Quake 4 by far the better of the two.

Both kinda average though, good fun, but nothing out of the ordinary.

And I've just noticed, reading somewhere, that Doom 3 runs in Linux.

My my, gonna try that then, only game I have installed in Suse 10 atm is UT2004.
