games shut down

I'm having a problem with my fairly new PC (XP). When I'm
playing a game like Sims or Morrowind it will just kick me
out of the game. It's as if the progam just stops. I
thought it may be a problem with the CD drive so I started
using the DVD drive and it still does it (intermitantly).
Anyone have any Ideas???

I'm not sure about this one but i know there is a patch on Windows Update.
