FTP Session Terminated

Hi everyone,

I'm at work and trying to access an ftp server but it's not working. I know
the problem is with this computer because it works fine from my own computer
at home. I've tried lots of other ftp servers too, but everytime I get the
same error. I've tried using Internet Explorer and EMFtp, but all I get is
'Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name
correctly and that you have permission to access the folder. Details: The FTP
session was terminated" This occurs as soon as it tries to connect, before I
can enter my username and password.

I'm using Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6, and a broadband connection. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Me again, I turned off windows firewall and then it was able to connect.

So my new question is, how can I allow access to FTP servers without having
to disable the firewall temporarily?

Cheers
