frontpage 2002 publishing problems

I have frontpage extensions in place, firstly! I have been trying to publish
my web site in file, open web, network places, http:// address. Then picking
up the files in microsoft windows explorer and dropping them into the web
site. But "directories containing web configuration information will not be
imported" Then my borders or theme, nav bar etc don't show up. If I publish,
threw "publish" it says I do not have extensions (I have been reassured by
ISP techies that I deffinately have) Please Help!

what kind of server is it?

try this:
in FrontPage hit file/ open web (or file/ open site in fp 03), type in the
http:// address of the server based web (the remotely hosted one), when it
opens hit tools/ recalculate hyperlinks.
then hit file/ close web and try another publish from your local copy up to
the remote.
