FREEZING QUESTION AGAIN

I've read and read the newsgroups and have not been able to find a real answer to this freezing situation. Granted, it could be anything, but formy situation there is no consistancy to the freze, other than after 15 to 20 minutes of game play, internet, word program, any operation, windows just freezes. I have to shut down the computer from the power bar to restart. Good to go for another 20 minutes. The comp temp is fine. The vents are fine. The Power is fine. The only distinguishing feature is that there is a ping as it stops. Everything is still running, but the computer freezes first, then the mouse will freeze. Thought it was ram, but have been assured it is not.

Who assured it is not the ram? You cannot rule it out without professionally
testing or replacing. The second thing I would check is the power supply .
The event viewer might give you some helpful information . Jym
