Freezing during XP reinstall - HELP!

My computer froze during the reinstallation of Windows
XP. It gets to the same place evrytime and gets stuck.
What can be causing something like this to happen?

Dana, go into the Bios and choose Default or Optimal Settings and also
disable Virus warnings. Disconnect all your devices, printer, fax, scanner
etc.

It may be Bad Ram. Where exactly does it freeze?
