free spam programs

My future daughter in law says her mother has alot of
trouble with spam coming in. She runs windows Xp, not
sure if it is SP2 or not. It is a E-machine I know. I am
just wanting to know what fee anti spam programs are out
there and what some of you think about them. I guess she
keeps getting viruses to and cleans them out but they
come out. I will see them again this Sunday and I feel
they do a scan and clean it out and it is left in their
system restore and then when they start up again its
there again. I think she needs to boot into safe mode and
turn off system restore and then do a scan of NAV and
also all her spyware programs. What do you think.? I know
she will loose all her restor points but it is worth it
in order to get rid of all of this crap.

.. they are both very good and free.. she might have a virus in system
restore as most set themselves there..is every thing working good otherwise?
