Free Flight Simulator Software

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is free flight simulator software around.
I've searched through Google and all the "free" simulator software is
either shareware or commercial. I am even willing to pay if I don't have
to keep installing a disk in the cd player for it to verify my copy of the
program. I don't want to have to carry around a cd to simply play the
simulator. When a program says that "all" the files are on your computer,
I expect the registration code to be there as well so I don't have to put
in a cd to get the game started. Is there such a program available that
doesn't have that requirement?

Please do not tell me that this is how all games are today. I've been told
that already and I'm hoping that some enterprising individual has a
simulator program that doesn't require the cd for verification. I'm not
willing to pay for a program that is an inconvenience, ie M$ Flight
Simulator.
