forward email form one outlook 2007 profile to another

I am a google apps sync user and when my email comes into Outlook it goes
into the apps profile inbox. Maybe some of you are aware of the problem with
google apps in that you cannot change the "From" field in outgoing mail. For
example: my wife and I are a Realtor team, our domain is xxx.com. Our
account email address in google apps is (e-mail address removed) When an email is
sent from the apps profile in Outlook 2007, it shows as coming from just my
name and this apparently cannot be changed. Can I create a new profile in
Outlook 2007, have the mail from the google apps profile sent directly to the
new profile. I think then I would be able to change the "From" field to Pam
and Bruce. This is an aggravating problem that the google folks need to
address. This is a Premier account in google. I am even considering
building an exchange server to completely take gmail out of the mix but I am
afraid that might be above my head technically.

You don't send mail to a profile. You send it to a mailbox. Outlook doesn't
contain any mailboxes. Those are supplied by mail service providers like
Hotmail, Yahoo, and Google. You use mail clients like Outlook to access those
mailboxes and get the mail they contain.

Mail account and mail profiles are not syonymous. In Outlook, a mail profile
is a construct in the Windows registry that contains the settings for the
various accounts you want Outlook to use to access the mail service mailboxes.
One profile can contain zero to many mail accounts, with each account
accessing a different (or even the same) mailbox. You can have multiple
profiles on your computer so that Outlook will keep all the data for the
different profiles separate, since each profile will have a separate delivery
location when Outlook will put the incoming messages from the various
accounts. Even then, the multiple profiles can access the same data store.

I think what you want is to be able to have more than one sender address. You
can do this in Outlook with separate accounts in the same mail profile,
provided your mail service allows it. SOme do, some, like Google, don't.
Even with separate sender addresses, if you account send mail by way of
Google's mail service, Google will force the sending address to match the
address established for the mailbox. The only way to do what you want with
Google's mail if to have multiple Google mailboxes and reference each with a
separate account in Outlook.

Work with a local partner to setup an SBS 2008 server for you.
Alternatively, Microsoft offers hosted Exchange accounts at
http://microsoftonline.com .

However, before we trash Google, let's look at Tools -> Account Settings.
Select the Gmail line and click on Change

Change the value in Your Name box, click Next and Finish and send
yourself a test message to an outside account, such as a Yahoo mailbox.
