Fonts don't work in XP

I used Win98SE for a number of years until last year when I upgraded to Win2K
and later to WinXP Prof. I finds that many of the fonts I used before will
not work in Win2K or XP.

I do graphic design and I use a lot of fonts. I even have purchased disks
with thousands of fonts on them so that I can be ready for any situation.

Since my conversion (ie upgrade) I find that so many of those fonts are now
worthless because they just won't work. They worked fine before in Win98SE.

What's the answer here? How can I get the fonts to work in XP?

Do you use a font manager like Extensis suitcase.
If you do then there should not be any problem using those fonts.
