missing fonts in Adobe Illustrator aft upgrade to SP3

I have a computer running the first version of Adobe creative suite. The
computer was upgraded from XP SP2 to SP3 last week through automatic
updates, now there are fonts missing. The fonts aren't listed in the fonts
folder and they were there before. One of the fonts is Aldine. What I did
was removed the SP3 to see if that did anything and it did not.

Any one have any ideas what to do about this problem!!

If you are missing fonts and they do not list in the Fonts folder then
these were delivered with the Adobe software. Look on the Adobe CD or
you may have to remove and re-install the Adobe.
