Adobe tech support

I called Adobe Tech Support today (1-16) and told him my situation. First of
all my version of illustrator they no longer support but asked what was
going on so he could redirect my call. I told him fonts were missing after I
upgraded to SP3. He said unfortunately that happens and recommended removing
Illustrator and reinstalling to see if the fonts come back. He did not
recommend rolling back to SP2 because I may have security issues with the
operating system. If that didn't work then I would have to upgrade my
creative suite to at least version 3, if I could find it, or version 4.

Just thought everyone should know. I know of someone else upgrading to SP3
and are having problems with fonts, especially bringing in saved artwork
and then having illustrator say the font is missing or the font has changed
just enough to throw everythng off in the artwork. Guess we will never know
whats going on.

Thanks for your help and I will let you know what I come up with.

the security holes are
in the tech's brain.

you can roll back
to sp2 if you want.

first, disable or uninstall
your anti virals so they
don't disrupt or interfere
with the restoration.

then go to add/remove
programs and uninstall
sp3 and be happy again.
