Folder missing

Can anyone explain why a folder is missing under Windows XP?

I can see it using free Commander but Windows Explorer doesn't see it.

If you can, right click on the folder and uncheck Read only and Hidden.

It was read only. I removed the read only.

It made no difference.

Windows Explorer doesn't see the folder.

I can access the folder from DOS, and also using \amy but I can' t
access it from within Windows Explorer.

When you say DOS, do you mean Safe Mode command prompt?

I would suggest moving the contents of the folder to a newly created folder
and then try accessing it.

I was using a DOS box in WIndows.

Open command prompt and run:
attrib -s -h FOLDER_PATH
