Sometimes a registry key is entered into the registry by accident.
Try this:
(all entered words are without singe quotes)
click start menu, and select 'RUN'
type 'regedit'
locate HKEY_Local Machine or HKEY_Current User
locate Microsoft, then Windows, then Common Files
locate Run, RunOnce and RunEX
under each, find the key that shows your folder
it will be something like c:\.....\folder
without an extention
delete this key
Viola!
DISCLAIMER: deleting the wrong keys may damage your computer.
