fixing an email link problem??

Whenever I click on an email link, it takes me to my email home page instead
of filling in the address for me like it used to. So now, I have to go back
to the email address on the previous page, write it down, then go to my
email and type it in. I cannot even copy and paste it. How can I change this?
Its really inconvienient. It used to work fine. And I didn't change
anything....It uses Hotmail. I would rather use a differnt email but Am not
sure how. Thats another question. Any ideas how to get it to work properly??
Is it a hotmail problem??

You are using "Hotmail" via Internet Explorer? If yes, then it is an
Internet Explorer and a Hotmail problem. Hotmail is a Web based email
system.
