Fix for Broken Link in Works Task Launcher

Hi!

The Works Suite 2003 came preinstalled on my Dell system,
and included MS Streets & Trips 2002.

I recently purchased and installed Streets & Trips 2004
(and uninstalled S&T 2002 using Windows Add/Remove
Programs).

No problems with the operation of any programs, BUT the
link to Streets & Trips listed in the "Programs" tab of
thr MS Works Task Launcher is now broken.

The problem is that the Works Task Launcher is looking
for the Streets.exe file in the

"C:\Program files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\"

folder, and the S&T 2004 program installs into a
DIFFERENT folder,named

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets and Trips\".

(Notice the change from "&" to "and" in the folder name.)

Anyway, is there an easy way to update the link so that
it works, like a making a registry edit? I don't want to
uninstall/reinstall anything!

Thanks!!

Ken

Well, two ways come to mind:

1. Create a shortcut for the .exe where it really is located and drop the
shortcut into the programs folder. Then delete the incorrect shortcut.
2. Create a folder worded exactly like the existing shortcut expects. Copy
all files from the old folder to the new one. See if the existing shortcut
works then. I would think NOT to delete the old folder and contents until
you're truly satisfied all components are working as they should (in case
some registry entries created point to the old folder).

I think my suggestion #1 would be easier.
