Firewire installation

Did any one install Firewire connect on XP? I have DSL
running and got problem installing that. It messes up
network settings and I can not connect to internet.

some fire walls will not work with windows xp. my norton
firewall works on my desktop. i have a built in fire wall
on my wireless lap top. which firewall are you trying to
