Firewall Disabled after Install

Install went with no problem and rebooted. I've even run
a search. However, my firewall is now disabled
(ireonically) and I cannot seem to enable. I can't
access settings, as it says the serivce is not running.
It then asks if I want to connect to ICS; I say yes, but
it says it cannot start the service.

I read something on the help page about changing the port
to 80, but I don't know what the address should be and if
I leave the address blank it won't save the port number.

As a last resort I've uninstalled the software, but it's
made no difference. So, now I have no firewall and no
antispyware software.

Can anyone help....?

Please use the information in this Microsoft Knowledge base article to fix
the firewall issue:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350

The root cause of this is removal of spyware, which is why removing
Microsoft Antispyware (after the removal) didn't fix the issue. So you can
feel free ot reinstall Microsoft Antispyware once your connectivity has
returned to normal without worrying that this will recurr---Microsoft
Antispyware should prevent the kind of issue whose removal caused this.
