Finding Temp Internet Files disk space

B

bsmile

I used to be able to go to Tools/Internet Options/Temp
Internet Files/Settings/View files, and then have the
option to be able to find out how much disk space was
being used by the files, but can't seem to do it now for
some reason- I just get the listing of all the files. I
think before I could right-click on Properties in a
dialog box and the info would appear. ???? Thanks!

You may be right. There are also no values displayed by
msinfo32 /category IECacheSummary

Try this as an alternative:
1. Alt-T,O,Alt-S,V (just to confirm that that's where you are now)
2. Press Alt-d,End
3. Type \Content.IE5\
4. Press Enter
5. Press Backtab,Ctrl-a,Alt-Enter

(In XP) that shows a Properties window with summary statistics for all
of the selected objects, which in this case is all of the TIF's subdirectories.
One of the items displayed will be the statistic you want.
Note that the first time you do it it may take a few moments to compute.

When you click on settigs, you will see a slider, and you
can set the disc space to use, I usually set mine to 190
