Windows 98 had a file viewer(\QUIKVIEW.EXE) that I put in the sendto menu.

Does windowsxp have such a viewer?

Can the old \QUIKVIEW.EXE be used and how. (I tried to just copy the program
into windows\system folder and put a short cut in the sendto folder but an
error popped up saying a dll was missing.

Any suggestions. It is a real handy utility.

You can't just copy the file - QuickView requires you to run setup and/or
install so it works correctly. Go here

on the latest version: QuickView Plus 8

I thought that QUIKVIEW.EXE was part of win98 operating system, I do not
remember downloading or purchasing that program.

In fact, it was also part of win95 usually in the windows\system folder.

Just seems strange that it is omitted from the xp system.

The fact it came with 95 and 98 doesn't mean it had to come with XP; which
it does not. If you want it buy it.

Thanks for the info, bummer (no xp viewer.)
