Sendto Any folder missing

I

ilyaz

In my Windows XP SP3 for a long while, I had in the Context menu option
Sendto Any folder. Recently, it and some others options disappeared...
I was able to restore Sendto " to zip", "to clipboard", "to mail recipient"
and some others, but the Sendto Any folder evades me.
"Any Folder...Other Folder" along with others Sendto are listed in the
C://>Documents and Settings>Owner>Sendto folder, but "Any Folder" does not
appear in the Context menu when I right click my mouse...
I think, I've heard that there is a registry fix for this problem, but could
not find it. Any suggestions on how to find this fix or how to fix this
problem and restore Sendto Any folder will be appreciated.

IIRC Send To Any didn't exist in XP like it did in 98x - you had to do some
PowerToy hacking to get it in XP.

I'd be glad to do, if you or someone else could tell me how to...

P.S. I'm almost positive, there was a reg tweak...

Download the Send To Power Toy from Windows 95. It works on
XP,Vista,Windows2003,Windows2008 and you will have Send to Any Folder

Peter,
thanks for your suggestion. I have Power Toys installed already, but an
entry in registry got somehow corrupted... I just found a hack on "the
How-to Geek"site and edited two entries in the registry... Now I have Copy
To/Move To options in the context menu...
Thanks again for your suggestion.

I used to use those hacks in Windows XP - until it started giving me other
strange results - like randomly bringing up the "move to" or "copy to"
options when I had dragged and dropped or just right-clicked on an icon...

I *strongly* suggest this alternative to any other (for said functionality):

Doesn't seem to cause some of the side effects you *may* experience with
other 'hacks' you may find doing the same thing.

You are welcome but using those hacks can cause issues at times. Just be vigilante
because strange issues can possibly arise from using those types of hacks
