File types to allow me to save instead of auto-open an IE link/file

I have my Win XP Pro file types for MP3 files set to use Windows Media
Player. This kicks off the player and plays the MP# file when I click on a
link.
However, I;d like the option to save the file to my hard drive [instead of
auto-starting the player]. How can I do this?

I tried deleting the file association but this just gets me an IE error of
"Cannot find server or DNS Error"

Thanks,
Walter
