I'm trying to download from MSDN, but when i open the FTM-app it says I need
to upgrade to the latest version. I can't download anyting before I do. But I
have the latest FTM there is. It worked fine yesterday.
I've uninstalled and re-installed it several times.

Any help?

Same problem here. I had just been using it and it was downloading fine from
Technet Plus then suddenly when I went to download something else, up
popped a message stating it wasn't the latest version. Transfers do not
start, with message "Application validation failed...transfers are not
enabled." I am using the latest version - 5.0 Build 0027 which is the
version on Microsoft downloads. I get the same error in Vista and XP.

This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Exactly the same problem with me.

It was working yesterday. Now it says that I have to upgrade to the newest
version, I go there, upgrade to the version 5.0.27 (eventhough Control Panel
says that the installed version is 5.0.29!) and the whole process is repeated
again, and again and ....

What a stupid bug!!!!!

In your registry,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\SIAM\FileTransferManager\Settings
Change the key FTM_Url_Date to 2007-02-01
