File sharing with Direct Parallel Connection

New computer with XP Home Edition
Old computer with XP Prof Edition

Goal: Move selected contents of "My Documents" from old
computer to new computer.

The 2 computers are connected with a Parallel Data
Transfer cable.
I can see the connection icon so it appears to be
connected.
On the old computer I have Selected Drive C: and clicked
Sharing and security.

Problem: Using My Computer and windows Explorer on the
new computer, I cannot see the drive icon for the old
computer to be able to select and drag & drop the files I
want

What am I overlooking?

Old computer: Instead of using "My Computer"
or "Explorer", Use "My Network Places"
