Figure references with Includetext

I've broken my long document down into seperate files.
In the sub-files, I've used references to figure
captions, which use chapter numbers (eg Figure 1-2).
When I assemble the sub-documents into one document using
INCLUDETEXT, the references don't work. The figure
captions have the right chapter and figure sequence
numbers, but the cross-references caption labels stay at
chapter 1 (eg. Figure 1-2 not Figure 4-2 for a figure in
Chapter 4).

Is there a way to fix this?!

Hi Cc,

I have a suspicion, but since you don't mention which
version of Word you're using...

Could you press Alt+F9 to display the field codes, then copy
what you see INSIDE the field brackets - { } - for such a
caption?
