Fax Service

Just installed a fax/modem card, and tried to add XP's fax service. I get a
'cannot copy fx*.* error. I've looked in the directory, the files are there.
I can copy them to another address, get the same error. Using the software
(recovery) disk that came with my computer and chaning the directory I again
can see the required files but still get the error. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

The original files are damaged. I would appeal to the maker of the system for
a new copy of the files.
