fax receive question!

I used win2000 fax server to receive fax.Some faxs received successfully,but
some failed!It show "receive error".I don't konw why!Who can help me!

Tele-marketters often call my fax line thinking it is a voice line.

The messages look like yours. Just a thought.

Could also be faulty phone connection or cable.

But I am sure the cable and the phone are both well.
I don't know what shall I do ?
