Fax isn't working since I got a DSL connection

In the past when I was using just a dial-up connection, I
had no problem with sending or receiving faxes using the
Fax Console software that came with Windows XP. However,
now that I have moved and installed a DSL connection, the
fax will not work. Am I overlooking something very
simple/obvious? I hope this doesn't mean that I must
disconnect the DSL and plug in to my phone line everytime
I want to send or receive a fax. HELP, PLEASE!

Indeed. You are missing something very obvious.
Faxing uses phone lines. Period.

No. Leave the Internet connection as is. However, connect the fax/modem to
the phone line. Some DSL modems have a connection for a phone. If so, you
can use that. A filter might be required. Otherwise, you might need both a
line splitter and a filter. Contact your DSL provider.
