I'VE TRIED SENDING & REC'IN FAX ON MS SOFTWARE FAX. BOTH FAILED TO
RESPOND

1) Lose the caps. It's considered yelling, is incredibly rude and makes
your posts very hard to read.

2) Do you have a correctly configured analogue fax modem connected to a
standard phone line?

First check if you have the analog line and modem set up correctly. Goto
Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->Hyper Terminal. Try making a
call - if this works this means your modem is setup correctly - but your
modem may still not be Fax compatible.

Have you configured Fax correctly? Invoke the Configuration Wizard [Fax
Console->Tools->Configure Fax] and make sure sending and receiving is
configured.

If it still does not work, mention in details the error which is given. Look
in event viewer [eventvwr] and look in Applications tab for Fax specific
events. Send us the exact event logs that appear.
