FAX doesn't sent

I've a modem correctly installed on my W2K computer.
(i've just tested it calling my mobile)
Microsoft FAX is correctly installed, the service is going
and when I send the fax the queue is filled but the modem
never dials and just reschedules the sending 10 minutes
after...
what can I try?

You could try looking for fax related events in the event viewer. This will
give you further insight into the problem.Also, check if the fax appears in
your Outbox in the client console.

What is the status/extended status of the fax job?
If you see pending as the status then check if the modem is enabled to send
faxes.
Can you dial through the modem using Hyperterminal?
Also please check the event viewer if you see any red flags for fax.
